Universal Studios (sometimes also Universal Pictures), a subsidiary of NBC Universal, is one of the six largest film studios in the United States, headquartered in Universal City, California. The administrative offices are located in New York City. Universal Pictures is the second oldest Hollywood studio, one month older than Viacom-owned Paramount Pictures.
