The Matadors were a beat band from Czechoslovakia, formed in the mid-1960s during the height of the global beat music movement. They were part of the Czechoslovak big-beat scene, which included other bands like The Primitives Group, Olympic, and Flamengo. The Matadors' sound was characterized by a mix of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, soul, and the distinctive beat sound that was popular in Europe at the time. They were known for their energetic performances and were one of the pioneering groups in their region.
