Samuli Örnströmer

Swedish-Finnish classical cellist, conductor and teacher, born in Finland, born July 23, 1973. He trained as a cellist at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He moved to Sweden in 1994 to study cello at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. There he also began studying conducting for Jorma Panula and received his diploma in conducting in 1998. Since 2001, Samuli Örnströmer is the Malmö Symphony Orchestra's alternating solo cellist and has also conducted the orchestra countless times. Samuli has for many years taught orchestral repertoire at the Malmö Academy of Music and is one of our regular recurring conductors for orchestral projects.
