Phil Manzanera is an English musician and record producer, best known as the lead guitarist for the pioneering rock band Roxy Music. Born on January 31, 1951, in London, England, he played a significant role in shaping the band's distinctive sound with his innovative guitar work. Manzanera joined Roxy Music in 1972, contributing to their self-titled debut album and remaining with the band throughout their initial run until they disbanded in 1983. During his time with Roxy Music, he also embarked on a solo career, releasing his first solo album "Diamond Head" in 1975 to critical acclaim.
