Emerging Indie Rock Group

Lion was an American rock band formed in 1983, known for their hard rock and heavy metal style. The band consisted of vocalist Kal Swan, guitarist Doug Aldrich, bassist Jerry Best, and drummer Mark Edwards. They gained some recognition in the 1980s for their powerful music and energetic performances. Lion's debut album, "Dangerous Attraction," was released in 1987 and featured a blend of melodic hooks and heavy riffs that showcased the band's musical prowess. Their follow-up album, "Trouble in Angel City," came out in 1989 and continued to build on their sound with strong songwriting and musicianship. Despite their potential and a dedicated fan base, Lion did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded in the early 1990s. Doug Aldrich later went on to play with other notable bands such as Dio and Whitesnake, further establishing his reputation as a talented guitarist in the rock and metal scenes.
