Dødheimsgard, also known as DHG, is a Norwegian avant-garde black metal band that was formed in 1994. The band's name is a conjunction of three words that the band says mean "Realm of the Dead" or "Death Home Guard." Over the years, Dødheimsgard has undergone significant stylistic changes and has incorporated a wide range of influences from various music genres, which has led them to be classified as black metal, industrial, and avant-garde metal at different points in their career.
