British Power Electronics Duo

Consumer Electronics is an industrial noise project that was initially formed in the early 1980s by British musician Philip Best while he was still a teenager. Best is known for his work with the power electronics band Whitehouse, and Consumer Electronics became his solo endeavor after his departure from the group. Over the years, Consumer Electronics has evolved, with Best often collaborating with other artists. The project is characterized by its confrontational and provocative live performances, as well as its harsh and abrasive sound that incorporates elements of electronic noise, spoken word, and avant-garde composition. The lyrical content often delves into themes of politics, personal struggle, and societal critique.
