The true gods of the stoner underground, The Melvins , released the album Stoner Witch in 1994. It is one of their most successful works, where the band's musical ability is reflected in the depth, power and experimentation of their sounds. In the eleven tracks included on the album, the sound of earlier recordings is enriched with ambient and hardcore. Meanwhile, the monstrous anthem Revolve is a true masterpiece with a southern rock feel and a handful of killer guitar riffs. Another epic track, and one of The Melvins' finest recordings, is At the Stake. The droning riffs and bass and cymbal sounds are stunning and full of fantastic changes. Queen sticks to a more radio-friendly approach, which doesn't detract from the traditional Melvins sound. Formed in 1983, Melvins can still be considered one of the most versatile bands today. On their numerous albums they have processed influences from blues, pop, metal, rock, grunge and doom. The Melvins still leave nothing to chance and are still active on stage and in the studio.
