'The Neon' is the title of the follow-up to 2017's 'World Be Gone' and 2018's companion 'World Beyond'. Vince Clarke and Andy Bell recorded ten new songs for it. They went into the studio in Atlanta, Georgia for the vocals. Mixing took place in London earlier this year. With the song "Hey Now (Think I Got A Feeling)", the duo has already unveiled the first taste of their new album. And it shows: the Erasure sound is and remains unique. The Neon is the thirty-seventh studio album by English synthpop duo Erasure , released on 3 April 2020 via Mute Records. It is their first album of new material since 2017's World Be Gone. The album was produced by Erasure and Richard X and features contributions from a number of guest vocalists, including Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander, Alison Moyet and Bebe Rexha. The album's lead single, the song "Love You to the Sky", was released on 15 January 2020. The song has been described as an "uplifting" and "anthemic" track that "showcases the duo's signature sound".
