The sound from a vinyl record can be greatly improved if you reduce unwanted resonances between the record and the platter during playback. Therefore, the surface of the record and the platter should fit together as tightly as possible. The CLAMP IT clamp is the perfect solution. The clamping mechanism around the central axis, does not press on the plate with its weight (weights can affect (increase) the transmission of vibrations from the motor), but the pressure can be finely adjusted according to the actual unevenness of the plate.
