Chinese Classical Pianist

Zhu Xiao-Mei is a renowned Chinese-French classical pianist, celebrated for her profound interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach's works. Born in Shanghai in 1949, she was a victim of the Cultural Revolution, during which she was sent to a re-education camp. Despite these hardships, Zhu Xiao-Mei's passion for music endured. After her release, she continued her studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and later moved to Paris to attend the Conservatoire de Paris.
