UK-based reggae band

The Cimarons were a UK-based reggae band that formed in the late 1960s. Comprised of musicians who had migrated from Jamaica, they became one of the first reggae bands to establish themselves in Britain. The band's name is derived from the term "Cimarron," which refers to the runaway slaves in Jamaica who established free communities in the mountains. The Cimarons were known for their unique blend of reggae with touches of rocksteady and R&B, which helped them gain a following both within the UK's West Indian community and beyond.
