British Early Music Vocal Ensemble

Pro Cantione Antiqua is a British male-voice early music ensemble founded in the 1960s. The group has focused on the performance of Renaissance polyphony, as well as the choral music of the medieval period. They have become known for their historically informed performances, which aim to recreate the sounds and styles of the periods in which the music was originally composed. Over the years, Pro Cantione Antiqua has recorded a wide range of repertoire, including works by composers such as Palestrina, Byrd, and Tallis.
