Preservation Hall Jazz Band is a renowned New Orleans jazz band that has become a symbol of traditional New Orleans jazz music. The band derives its name from the Preservation Hall venue located in the heart of the French Quarter, which was established in 1961 to honor and continue the city's musical heritage. Although the band has seen many members come and go over the years, it has consistently been composed of some of the most respected and talented musicians in New Orleans jazz.
