Finnish alternative rock band

Poets of the Fall is a Finnish rock band established in 2003 in Helsinki by lead singer Marko Saaresto, guitarist Olli Tukiainen, and keyboardist Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen. The band's music is known for its melodic and cinematic rock sound, often featuring poetic lyrics and emotional delivery. They gained initial recognition with their first single, "Late Goodbye," which was used as the theme song for the video game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Their debut album, "Signs of Life," was released in 2005 and quickly went gold in Finland, later achieving platinum status.
