Perkele is a Swedish street punk band that was formed in 1993 by Ron Halinoja (vocals and bass), Olof "Ola" Hjelmberg (guitar), and Jonsson (drums). The band's name is a Finnish swear word, which reflects the Finnish roots of the lead singer, Ron. Perkele is known for their straightforward and melodic style of punk music, which often includes anthemic choruses and lyrics that address social and political issues, as well as themes of unity and working-class pride.
