Mike Wilhelm was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the influential 1960s San Francisco psychedelic rock band The Charlatans. Born on March 18, 1942, Wilhelm's career spanned several decades and included stints with other bands such as Loose Gravel and The Flamin' Groovies. He was recognized for his distinctive guitar playing style and his contributions to the early development of psychedelic rock and country rock.
