Lunar Shadow is a German heavy metal band known for their blend of classic heavy metal with elements of black metal and progressive rock. The band was formed in 2013 by guitarist Max Birbaum, and they quickly established themselves within the metal community with their debut EP "Triumphator" in 2015. Following the success of their initial release, Lunar Shadow continued to build their reputation with full-length albums such as "Far From Light" in 2017 and "The Smokeless Fires" in 2019. In 2021, they released "Wish To Leave," which marked a stylistic shift towards a more post-punk and new wave-influenced sound while still retaining their metal roots.
