Ludger Lohmann is a renowned German organist and musicologist, particularly known for his expertise in the performance of organ music on historical instruments. Born on October 8, 1954, in Herne, Germany, he has established himself as an authority in the interpretation of organ works from various periods, with a special emphasis on the music of the Baroque and Romantic eras. Lohmann studied church music and concert organ at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen before furthering his education at the Vienna Musikhochschule and with Marie-Claire Alain in Paris.
