Krux is a Swedish doom metal band that was formed in 2002. The group was initiated by Leif Edling, the bassist and main songwriter of the renowned doom metal band Candlemass. Krux's lineup features a number of well-known musicians from the Swedish metal scene, including Mats Levén on vocals, who has worked with acts like Therion and Yngwie Malmsteen, and Fredrik Åkesson on guitar, who later joined Opeth. The band's sound is characterized by heavy riffs, dark atmospheres, and epic compositions, which are hallmarks of the doom metal genre.
