Kongh is a Swedish sludge metal band known for their heavy and atmospheric sound that blends elements of doom metal, sludge, and post-metal. The band was formed in 2004 in Nässjö, Sweden, by David Johansson (guitars, vocals) and Tomas Salonen (drums). They quickly gained attention in the underground metal scene with their intense live performances and their debut album "Counting Heartbeats," which was released in 2007. Following the success of their first album, Kongh released "Shadows Of The Shapeless" in 2009, further establishing their reputation for crafting expansive and dynamic metal compositions. Their third album, "Sole Creation," came out in 2013 and showcased the band's continued evolution in sound and songwriting. Kongh's music is characterized by a mix of crushing riffs, ambient passages, and a powerful rhythm section, earning them a dedicated following within the heavy music community.
