Fotocrime is the solo project of Ryan Patterson, formerly of the band Coliseum. The project is known for its blend of post-punk, gothic rock, and synth-driven sounds. Fotocrime emerged as Patterson's primary musical endeavor after Coliseum disbanded in 2015. With Fotocrime, Patterson has crafted a distinct aesthetic both musically and visually, often presenting his work with a strong noir influence. The project's debut album, "Principle of Pain," was released in 2018 and showcased a dark, atmospheric sound that drew from various influences across the post-punk spectrum. This was followed by "South Of Heaven" in 2020 and "Heart of Crime" in 2021, further establishing Fotocrime's presence in the alternative music scene. Throughout his career with Fotocrime, Patterson has been recognized for his introspective lyrics and moody sonic landscapes, continuing to evolve his sound with each release.
