Turkish symphony orchestra

The Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra (BIPO) is a prominent Turkish orchestra based in Istanbul. Established in 1999, it evolved from the Borusan Chamber Orchestra, which was founded in 1993. The ensemble quickly gained a reputation for its interpretations of both classical and contemporary works. Under the artistic direction of conductor Sascha Goetzel since 2009, the orchestra has developed an extensive repertoire and has performed with numerous distinguished soloists and composers from around the world.
