Asaf Avidan & The Mojos is an Israeli band led by singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan. The band gained international recognition for their blend of folk and rock music, characterized by Avidan's distinctive voice, which has been compared to that of Janis Joplin and Robert Plant. Formed in 2006, the band released their debut album "The Reckoning" in 2008. The album became a commercial success and is considered one of the best-selling independent records in Israeli music history. It includes the hit single "Reckoning Song," which achieved widespread popularity in Europe after being remixed by German DJ Wankelmut and retitled "One Day / Reckoning Song (Wankelmut Remix)." This remix topped the charts in several countries.
