Anonymous 4 was an American female a cappella quartet, formed in 1986 and renowned for their performances of medieval music. The group consisted of Ruth Cunningham, Marsha Genensky, Susan Hellauer, and Johanna Maria Rose, each of whom brought their expertise in medieval music and historical performance practice to the ensemble. They gained critical acclaim for their pure vocal style and scholarly approach to early music.
