Alexander Dmitriev

Alexander Dmitriev is a renowned Russian conductor, born on April 19, 1935, in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), Russia. He is particularly noted for his interpretations of Russian classical music. Dmitriev studied at the Leningrad Conservatory and went on to become the chief conductor of the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, a position he held for many years.
