Innovative American New Wave Band

Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City and comprised of David Byrne (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar). The band emerged from the New York punk scene and quickly distinguished themselves with their unique blend of punk, art rock, funk, and world music influences. They released their debut album "Talking Heads: 77" to critical acclaim, which included the hit single "Psycho Killer." As they evolved, their music became increasingly complex and diverse.
