Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as a member of the globally successful boy band One Direction. Born on September 13, 1993, in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland, Horan auditioned for the British singing competition "The X Factor" in 2010. Although he did not progress as a solo contestant, he was brought back to join four other individual contestants to form One Direction. The group finished third in the competition but went on to achieve international fame and success.
