Gerry Rafferty was a Scottish singer-songwriter known for his distinctive voice and melodic songwriting skills. Born on April 16, 1947, in Paisley, Scotland, Rafferty's music career began in the late 1960s with the band The Humblebums, alongside comedian Billy Connolly. After the group disbanded, he recorded his first solo album, "Can I Have My Money Back?" in 1971. However, it was his work with the band Stealers Wheel, which he co-founded with Joe Egan in 1972, that brought him significant attention. Their hit single "Stuck in the Middle With You" achieved considerable success.
