Budějky - CD

One of the gifts that Pavel Žalman Lohonka gave himself for his sixty-fifth birthday this year is a new CD by the band Žalman and Guests.

The album has been given the symbolic title Budějky, as it is Žalman's way of returning to his musical roots after many years. He finds them in the simplicity, the simple arrangements of the songs and in the many textual reminiscences.

The CD contains 20 songs and one surprising bonus. There are several re-recorded unforgettable songs from the past (Kytky stále ještě od od odí, Přijela jsem v kadilaku, Kdo ti zpívá, Náhradní víkend, Severní vítr, Ty já, Za ruku me vem) and in addition thirteen new songs, written directly for the Žalman group and guests.

The album was created in the well-established studio MK Production in České Budějovice and features an interesting cover, on which the figures of the band members are drawn in a historical photograph of Budějovice square. The cover was created by local artists (and patriots) Karel Příhoda and Milan Binder
