The Sierra Leonean band Refugee All Stars, together with the British Red Cross and other prominent musicians, have released a concept album of the same name, which tells the stories of refugees in Britain. But these five songs are not just about hardship and destitution. Rather, the focus is on the cultural, social and economic benefits that immigrants can bring to society. The EP was produced by Ethan Johns, who has worked for Paul McCartney, Kaiser Chiefs and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The top producer explains his involvement by saying: "I wanted to get involved because it's a story worth telling. It's about letting people know more about what people are going through and putting their stories in context. It's not just bodies coming off the boat." The collective of African artists will be joined by former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant, Tinariwen, Scroobius Pip ft. Didier Kasala and Kindness with exclusive tracks on the compilation. Proceeds will be donated to the British Red Cross.
