Sony Classical's limited deluxe edition of 2CELLOS HAUSERA's debut solo album "Classic" features the original studio album on CD and DVD with a newly edited long version of his three "Alone, Together" concerts. These took place in the spring and summer of 2020 in the empty amphitheatre of the Croatian city of Pula, in the impressive Croatian national park Krka with its waterfalls and in front of the historic old town of Dubrovnik. In addition to the songs that HAUSER recorded for the album "Classic", you can listen to the visually fascinating DVD of the well-knownthemes from films and TV series, including "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "May It Be" from "Lord of the Rings". HAUSER fittingly performed the main theme from Game of Thrones in the same location where much of the series was filmed: the medieval walls of Dubrovnik. "Classic" is a compilation of the most popular classical tunes of all time. Each of the tunes featured here has long been one of HAUSER's favorites, and he has carefully selected and arranged each of them for cello. When asked how best to describe the "Classic" album, HAUSER replies, "It's simple: The album collects the most beautiful and romantic melodies of classical music, written by the greatest composers and played on the most beautiful and romantic of all instruments, the cello."Together with arranger Robin Smith and producer Nick Patrick, HAUSER has completely re-arranged immortal works by Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, andand Chopin for cello and, with the support of the London Symphony Orchestra, has given the classics a vocal splendour never before heard. HAUSER'S story begins with the overwhelming feeling he experienced as a child in his native Pula, Croatia, when he heard the cello: to understand how it worked and to conjure up the same magical sound, he began collecting all the possible parts to build such an instrument. His passionate desire to play the cello outgrew his childhood dream of making a cello: As one of the two musicians of the sensational 2CELLOS ensemble, which crosses all genre boundaries, the young dynamic cellist achieved worldwide fame in a very short time. With his album "Classic", HAUSER fulfilled perhaps the most beautiful musical dream a young Croatian boy had at that time.
