In the late 1960s, a cult American TV series was created, which in turn was based on Japanese manga and anime. Along with his racing car "Mach 5", the main character "Speed" became one of the most famous comic book characters ever. The many comics, movies and, in recent years, computer games about Speed Racer are a testament to his longevity and popularity. The fourteen tracks on this CD are a mix of original recordings by original soundtrack composer Nobuyoshi Koshibe and modern rock songs such as "Nowhere To Run" by Canadian band Lillix, "Black & Grey" by American rockers Melodramus, "Vehicular Promicide" by California band Daybreak Ends, and "Respiration Is A Daunting Task" by their compatriots Back Pocket Memory.
