- This new addition to the Ace Records catalog features polished soul, pop gems, and more from the female portion of the '60s Warner Bros. roster and subsidiary Loma. - The collection opens with Three Degrees' "Contact," a slice of laid-back Philadelphia soul released as a one-off single by this charming trio for Warner Bros. in 1968, and closes with Lorraine Ellison's "In My Tomorrows" from the same year, one of the many great records she made under the auspices of producer Jerry Ragovoy. - The remaining 22 tracks were recorded between 1962 and 1967 and include selections released on CD for the first time by artists such as Barbara Jackson, The Royalettes, The Socialites, Bonnie, Cathy Carroll, The Cinders, Barbara English, Gloria Scott and Joyce Alexander. Even better is the recording of Ramona King's "Chico's Girl," a previously unreleased song, in its entirety.
