Moulin Rouge! The music from Baz Luhrmann's film is the soundtrack album for Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film Moulin Rouge! The soundtrack consists almost entirely of cover versions - the only original song on the album is "Come What May", composed by David Baerwald and Kevin Gilbert. The opening song "Nature Boy" was sung by David Bowie, but in the film it is sung by actor John Leguizamo as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. It was originally written by American singer-songwriter Eden ahbez and was reprised by Bowie and Massive Attack as the final song of the soundtrack, with dialogue by Nicole Kidman. "Lady Marmalade", written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan, was made famous by the girl group Labelle in the 1970s. The song contains the sexually suggestive lyric "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?", meaning "Would you like to sleep with me tonight?". Labelle's version of the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003. The soundtrack version features Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Maya and Pink, with additional vocals by Missy Elliott. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
