Review: In late 2008, the trio of DJs Der Staubfinger, Elmo Lewis and Ilo Pan, who were fixated on 7" aces, decided to start a new vintage club night in Berlin. Firstly - of course! - and secondly, it shouldn't be fixated on a certain style of music. Charleston, swing or jump blues, rockabilly, soul, ska, rocksteady, garage or surf, mambo, cha cha, cumbia or calypso - anything that filled the dance floor was welcome to these three gentlemen. Ten years later, the Dusty Ballroom has established itself as a permanent club night in Berlin's nightlife. Once a month, the three singles lovers bring the dancefloor to a boil at the legendary club Bassy. And because this concept fits very well with Stag-O-Lee's musical taste, they decided to launch the "Dusty Ballroom" series without further ado. On vinyl, of course. The first one is a cross compilation of 17 songs that saw the light of day in the fifties and sixties, but are still extremely popular today.
