Teatime Dub Encounters is the title of the spectacular four-track EP that Iggy Pop - the godfather of punk - and British electro giants Underworld present to us as the surprise of the year. The bold collaboration between these musical legends began when Rick Smith of Underworld invited Iggy Pop to London's Savoy Hotel. There, the two Brits, best known for their work on the soundtrack to the elusive Trainspotting, wanted to talk about working together on the soundtrack to the sequel to the 90s classic. So the EP is the result of a secret recording session in a hotel that began a few weeks after both Underworld and Iggy Pop released their final albums on March 18, 2016. It's not about wallowing in the past and digging up old hams. It's about the work of artists who are constantly evolving and making music that combines spontaneity and creativity into a perfect symbiosis.
