On their long-awaited eighth album, "The Sin and The Sentence", Trivium once again showcase the growth of their sound. Now comes a new battleship from the American metallers. And growth isn't the only keyword - all the elements that have defined Trivium since their formation in 1999 come to fruition on this release: Moments of haunting melodicism intertwined with taut technical thrash, black metal expansions, punk spirit and heavy heart, all tightly laced with the musical unity of the quartet - Matt Heafy [vocals, guitar], Corey Beaulieu [guitar], Paolo Gregoletto [bass] and Alex Bent [drums]. Given this, it's no surprise that the eleven songs were driven by an insatiable hunger to evolve. "It was a moment where it was not about anything," Heafy points out. "We all agreed that we needed to make the best album of our career right now." To date, almost all of their albums have charted in the German charts: with 2011's "In Waves" and 2013's "Vengeance Falls", Trivium reached the Top 10, 2006's "The Crusade" reached No. 23, 2008's "Shogun" reached No. 27 and Trivium's latest album "Silence In The Snow" even reached No. 1 on the US Billboard "Hard Rock Albums" chart.
