The new album "Encore" is released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band and the legendary Two-Tone label. It was produced by the founding members of The Specials and Danish musician and producer Torp Larsen. The Specials, who were at the forefront of British ska revivalism in the late 70s, were a multi-layered melting pot that embodied more than just the black and white checkered logos of their label Two-Tone. In the UK, their debut single "Gangster" reached number 6 and all subsequent singles were in the Top 10, including 2 x 1. They released two Top 5 albums before topping the UK Singles Chart with "Ghost Town". In the current turbulent climate, 38 years on, "Encore" continues in style and content almost exactly where "Ghost Town" left off, dealing with serious themes.
