Few other 80s bands changed their sound and style as radically in such a short period of time as Talk Talk. Over the course of six years (1982 - 1988) and four albums on EMI, they changed from the neo-romantic pop of their debut album "The Party's Over" with minor hits like "Talk Talk" and "Today" to the almost archaic avant-garde rock/pop of "Spirit Of Eden". On this album the band was supported by notable guests such as violinist Nigel Kennedy and double bass legend Danny Thompson.
