With "Thunderbolt", Saxon presents its new 22nd studio album in 2018. Once again, the album title says it all, as it is a thunderous, electrifying collection of songs. The British metal icons recorded a total of twelve tracks on "Thunderbolt", and unlike the CD, the LP unfortunately has to do without the bonus track "Nosferatu (Raw Version)". The production was handled by Andy Sneap. Peter "Biff" Byford and his people already introduced their new album with the title track back in December 2017. And it shows: on "Thunderbolt" Saxon keep up the hard pace of the two predecessors "Battering Ram" and "Sacrifice". That's how it should be. In addition to the standard CD and LP, "Thunderbolt" is also available as a limited box set with the new album on CD, LP and MC and a bonus CD and Saxon "Eagle" metal badge.
