Three long years have passed since Running Wild thrilled fans with their (still) current album Rapid Foray. Three years during which a lot of water has flowed under the metal galleries of our time and the fans' desire for new songs has been growing month by month. In order to satisfy this request and not to make his numerous fans wait until the beginning of summer 2020, the captain of Running Wild Rock'n'Rolf decided to make a real revolution: The band is releasing the Crossing The Blades EP with four all-new tracks, including an extremely interesting cover version of the Kiss classic "Strutter". The title track "Crossing The Blades", which opens the EP, takes centre stage. What's special about this song is that it's also a precursor to the regular album announced for summer 2020, yet it remains unique in its current form. Because, as Kasparek says, "This version only exists on the Crossing The Blades EP. The album will see another version later on that will be completely re-recorded with minor changes." The second track on the EP is called "Stargazed" and many Wacken visitors should already be familiar with it. In fact, Running Wild presented this number to the W:O.A 2018 audience as a world exclusive and received rapturous applause for it. Third in the order is the cover version of Kiss' "Strutter", which is meant to be a tribute to Rolf's first idols, of course in typical Running Wild style and with a bit more panache than the original Kiss version. Last but not least: the new EP ends with "Ride On The Wild Side", which almost made the shortlist for the renowned album thanks to its strong tempo and high compositional quality. Featuring top-notch production and a few exclusive special features, these four tracks will surely make the wait until the summer of 2020 worth it for Running Wild fans, while raising anticipation for more new material and upcoming festival appearances even more. For Rock'n'Rolf and his bandmates, it's a challenge they're definitely up for!
