The band, which was primarily thinking about the members of its fan club (the fan club called "Voices In My Head" was founded in autumn 2004), released the EP "Voices In My Head" in March 2005. This was to keep the interest in the band and make the long wait for a new album more enjoyable for the fans. Initially, it was to be a limited CD for fan club members only. Eventually it was available in music stores, which was a good move as the nearly forty minute release was full of interesting sounds. In addition to three live versions of songs familiar from the debut album, "Voices In My Head" also contained five new tracks. "Voices In My Head" contains studio effects from January and February 2005. However, it is not entirely representative of the band as it shows a softer side of Riverside. Only three of the tracks made it to live performances ("Us", "The Time I Was Daydreaming" played by a five-piece with another bassist, and "Acronym Love") and only one track features live drumming from Mittloff. On the other hand, it can't be said that these tracks lack subtlety, character and charm. The composition of tracks like "Dna ts. Rednum or F. Raf", the band showed a great deal of creativity and courage. The three live recordings were also a special treat for the fans. These were, for example, "I Believe" played differently from the studio version, along with "Out Of Myself" and "Loose Heart". They were recorded in May 2004 at the "Traffic Club" in Warsaw and show the band in great shape. "VIMH" is also important because it was the studio debut of the new line-up of the band. Michał did a great job live, but it was still unknown whether he would be as great in the studio. However, Michał proved to be a valid member of the band, which can be heard especially on "Acronym Love" - a track full of piano and keys. (riversideband. pl)
