The Red Hot Chili Peppers' Freaky Styley album, released in 1985, was their second album and featured a mixture of funk, punk and rock styles. The album was produced by George Clinton and the band's eclectic mix of sounds and styles was evident in tracks such as "Jungle Man" and "Catholic School Girls Rule". Although the album did not achieve the commercial success of their later records, it helped the band establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the music world. Freaky Styley is now considered a cult classic and is often cited by the band as one of their most popular albums.
