Concert footage now available on CD and vinyl for the first time Warner Music has announced the release of "Pink Floyd Live At Knebworth 1990" on CD and double vinyl for the first time. The concert was part of a star-studded performance by the 1990 Silver Clef winners at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, where Pink Floyd headlined. At the memorable Silver Clef Award winners' concert at Knebworth, Pink Floyd led an all-star line-up that included Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Robert Plant (with Jimmy Page), Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears. Approximately 120,000 music fans witnessed these rock greats come together on the hallowed Knebworth stage to perform for the Nordoff Robbins Foundation. Proceeds from the concert, which was broadcast live on MTV, were donated to the construction of the BRIT School. David Munns, Chairman of Nordoff Robbins, remembers the event fondly: "The Knebworth concert was a defining moment in terms of the music industry's commitment to Nordoff Robbins, the BRIT Trust and the BRIT School concept. It was a fantastic day which culminated in this great performance by Pink Floyd. The money raised laid the foundations for the BRIT School and enabled Nordoff Robbins to significantly expand its offer. Knebworth will go down in history as a great moment and the music industry should be very proud of what has been achieved." Nick Mason remembers the concert fondly: "Knebworth has a special charm. We all still have fond memories of performing in the 70s and it was no different with this show. For me as a North London lad it was almost a homecoming, plus I was delighted to be reunited with the rest of the band after the previous huge tour which lasted over a year. Aside from that, it was a chance to get the great Candy Dulfer to play - I've been a fan of hers for a long time and it was a shame I didn't get the chance to get her involved more often. And last but not least, we were able to welcome our dear friend Michael Kamen as a guest, who has been very involved in the making of Pink Floyd over the previous ten years, so it's great to have him on the record as well." Pink Floyd - David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright - were joined by members of their touring band, namely Guy Pratt, Jon Carin, Tim Renwick and Gary Wallis. Backing vocals were sung by Durga McBroom, Sam Brown and her mother Vicki, as well as Clare Torry (the original lead singer of The Great Gig In The Sky). Pink Floyd saxophonist Candy Dulfer and keyboardist and composer Michael Kamen were on stage as guests. David Gilmour and Andy Jackson remixed all seven tracks from this legendary concert, and the album also features new cover artwork shot by Floyd creative partner Aubrey "Po" Powell and designed by Peter Curzon of Storm Studios. The concert, which was released for the first time ever as part of the 2019 box set "The Later Years," is now available on CD or double vinyl, marking the first time the concert is available as a standalone album. The Concerto was first released as part of the 2019 box set "The Later Years" and finally gets the standalone release it deserves. The track list is sure to get any Floyd fan's heart racing.
