Melody Gardot's first live album: a live best-of After releasing four highly successful studio albums, Melody Gardot's first live album was released in 2018. Live In Europe" is the title of the live best-of, a compilation of concert recordings by the American jazz singer, pianist and guitarist. For it, she selected her favourite pieces from five years and more than 300 shows. "I dreamed of a live album many years ago. Something that would be a dedication to the people who have welcomed us around the world. First I wanted to choose a "best of" that would showcase the most accomplished performances of our shows over the years. This album contains my heart and the love of all the people who have supported us along the way. It is as much a gift to me for the memories it contains as it is my gift to you, the listener," says Gardot. The recordings were made at concerts between 2012 and 2016, in places like Vienna, Lisbon, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Melody Gardot was accompanied at the concerts by her band consisting of Charles Staab (drums), Irwin Hall (saxophone) and Sami Minaie (double bass). In total, "Live In Europe" contains 17 tracks, including live versions of "March For Mingus", "Les Etoiles", "My One And Only Thrill" and "Baby I'm A Fool". The full track list can be found below. Gardot also self-produced the album, which charted at number 14 in Germany.
