At the end of 2017, a former road crew member handed over a cassette to the band's manager at a party. He wasn't sure if the tape was already in the DGM archive. Although this CD was recorded from the tape straight from the mixing desk, with all the sonic problems and limitations that entails, thanks to the DGM team's editing, this is the best live example of Jamie Muir's brief tenure in this line-up. And therein lies the real magic of this CD. We hear the magnificent King Crimson band playing most of "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" in its original order, which was released on vinyl in 1973 and is still considered a classic of the band and the era in which it was recorded and released, even 46 years later.
