Enigma is considered one of the most successful music projects of all time. Founded in 1990 by musician and songwriter Michael Cretu, the project boasts more than 70 million albums sold worldwide, countless number one hits and more than 100 platinum awards. Originally released between 1990 and 2016, all eight studio albums have been released in 2018 in limited editions on colored vinyl and with significantly redesigned packaging. Following huge fan demand, a reissue of Enigma's complete studio catalogue will now be released on black vinyl. The artwork will have a special metallic look and will be pressed on 180g. In addition, the compilation "Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits", which was released in 2001, will also be released on vinyl. Michael Cretu was born in 1957 in Bucharest and came to Germany in the mid-1970s. Although he was classically trained as a concert pianist, he soon turned to pop music and worked with Boney M. Among others. His breakthrough came with his debut single "Maria Magdalena". At the end of the 80's he started looking for new musical avenues and created the Enigma project. With a conceptual mix of atmospheric soundscapes and multifaceted instrumental colours, he took the electronic music genre into new, successful paths.
