"We Are The Void" - a symbiosis of rage and euphony, a combination of catchiness and the joy of experimentation... In October 2009 DARK TRANQUILLITY celebrated their 20th anniversary. Anniversary with the fantastic 2DVD/2CD "Where Death Is Most Alive" (which reached the top of the DVD chart in Sweden) - now it's time to follow up the success of 2007's "Fiction" with "We Are The Void" (chart position in Germany, Sweden, Greece, Finland and Italy). "We Are The Void" guarantees melodic death metal of the highest order. The listener can expect black metal, Kreator's Teutonic thrash and atmospheric goosebumps, occasionally embellished with a subtle gothic touch. Every track on the album is an impressive demonstration that few can keep up with these masters of songwriting, both musically and compositionally. The album was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen, who has worked for bands such as Earth Crisis, Hatesphere, Heaven Shall Burn and Moonspell. At the end of 2009, fans could see the band's qualities on the live Darkness Over X-Mas Tour and an extensive European tour for the album "We Are the Void" is planned for the second half of 2010.
