Corey Taylor is a man of many talents. He is best known as the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour, but he is also a New York Times bestselling author and actor with countless film and television credits to his name. And because he is always looking for new challenges, he now has another surprise up his sleeve: the American is releasing his first solo album on Roadrunner Records. It's called "CMFT" and as a precursor, the first two singles "Black Eyes Blue" and "CMFT Must Be Stopped" (feat. Tech N9ne & Kid Bookie) are now available on all streaming platforms. These two songs capture well the broad spectrum of this riveting and unapologetic rock'n'roll opus, where Taylor combines all of his influences from hard rock and classic rock to punk rock and hip hop. On "Black Eyes Blue" his vocals resonate with nostalgia, while "CMFT Must Be Stopped" recalls his work on Slipknot's debut album. For support, Taylor brought in rappers Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie to deliver bulletproof rhymes on this one-song record. CMFT, by the way, stands for "Corey Mother Fucking Taylor." "I don't need nothing - Corey Mother Fucking Taylor," Taylor says plainly in the song "CMFT Must Be Stopped." In the accompanying music video, directed by DJay Brawner, which you can watch below, Taylor takes over the CMFT champion's belt, while friends like Marilyn Manson, Lars Ulrich, Rob Halford, Chris Jericho and ZillaKami make guest appearances.
